Do you remove built-in and fitted wardrobes?
Yes — built-in and fitted wardrobe removal is our main job. We dismantle them in place rather than ripping them off the wall, so you're left with a sound surface ready to skim, paper, or fit a new bedroom straight onto.
Do you take the old furniture away?
We're a strip-out crew, not a waste service — and not charging for disposal keeps your price down. We carefully dismantle everything and either stack it neatly outside or load it straight into a skip you've ordered. Tell us which you'd prefer and we'll advise on the right skip size.
Will removing fitted wardrobes damage my walls?
That's exactly what we take care over. Units are dismantled in place rather than ripped off, so the wall is left sound and ready to skim, paper, or fit the new bedroom straight onto.
Do you remove understairs cupboards and plasterboard?
Yes. We strip out old understairs cupboards and plasterboard and leave the space clean and ready for new understairs storage units.
Can you take up the carpet and grippers too?
Yes. We lift carpet, underlay and gripper rods so the whole room — floor as well as walls — is ready for the new install.
Can you dismantle the bed, clear the room and decorate?
We can. Bed dismantling, full room clearance and decorating can all be added to your quote if you'd like the room handed back finished rather than just stripped.
Do you remove sliding and mirrored wardrobe doors?
Yes. Sliding-door and mirrored fitted wardrobes are no problem — mirrors are taken down and handled safely as part of the removal.
Do I need to empty the wardrobes first?
Please clear out clothes and belongings before we arrive. Anything left fitted — rails, shelves, drawers — we'll deal with.
Will there be a lot of mess and dust?
We cover floors before we start and work tidily. There's always some dust with a strip-out, but the room is left swept and the debris stacked or skipped, not spread around the house.
Do you remove fitted furniture in rooms other than bedrooms?
Yes — alcove units, home-office built-ins, fitted lounge cabinets and airing-cupboard shelving as well as bedrooms. If it's fitted, we can strip it out.
How long does a fitted wardrobe removal take?
Most single rooms are a half-day to a day depending on how much is fitted and whether carpet and understairs work is included. We'll tell you when we quote.
How much does it cost?
Every job is different, so we price from photos. Send a picture or two of the room plus your postcode and we'll come back with a clear fixed price, usually the same day.
How soon can you come?
Usually within the week, and we work around bedroom fitters' installation dates so the room is ready exactly when it needs to be.
